6 [JUST BEFORE]

Drive-in-to-work weather’s a bit odd, even for a Michigan April. Blasts of warm air, then cold breezes, billowy clouds then pitch-dark without any rain… And, what the HELL are all those swirling lights? Aurora Borealis don’t normally make it this far south… nope, I didn’t get drunk last night… wanted to… besides, do auroras shimmer after sun-rise… ???

Fitting… bizarre weather the last day I will ever be a lecturing professor. Twelve years, PhD, publish, publish, publish, work hard, and when you publish something they consider dangerous to their illegal for-profit scheme, you get dismissed from the University in a way that insures never, ever to work again in academia.

Turning into faculty parking and ‘badging in’, I could see groups of people gawking up at the sky.

Whatever. It’s Michigan weather, people! Stupid undergrads. Michigan weather; don’t worry, it’ll change in five minutes… oh, how I love early-morning classes!

I’ve gotta get to Bergmen Hall for my last lecture… let’s just get this over with…
