OVERVIEW
The current iteration of what is called ‘Church’ in American and Canada is currently experiencing some very, very historic demographic shifts.
These shifts ‘stream along with’ the significant lack of return to Churches after the COVID pandemic restrictions. Best studies say that 40 million… MILLION Americans never returned to attending live Church after SARS-CoV2.
Here are a few to note;
NONES
Nones are people who formerly attended a Protestant church, but now have abandoned that identity and say ‘NONE’ to the question what type of church they now attend.

Pew research group found that the ‘Nones’ are now religiously un-affiliated, DO believe in a God or ‘higher Power’, are totally disconnected from Church or Churches, and are highly skeptical of any religious institution.
DONES
Dones are Nones who actually report on questioning that they are DONE with organized religion, churches, pastors and just about anything that looks like that.
EXVANGELICALS
Wikipedia identifies this group as “Exvangelical is a social movement of people who have left evangelicalism, especially white evangelical churches in the United States, for atheism, agnosticism, progressive Christianity, or any other religious belief, or lack thereof.”

CHRISTIAN NATIONALISTS
This is the current POLITICAL-ACTION group that states that America was founded as a Christian nation, and they are ‘taking it back’. They are being mentioned here BECAUSE, by most surveys and studies, to be people who claim to be ‘Christian’, but over 90% do not attend any Church or place of Worship. In other words, they are Nones mixed with strong politics.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: The demographic within Christendom that HAS experienced return to Church WITH steady growth are the Pentecostal/Charismatic churches and fellowships. It has been slow in the USA, but super-accelerated in the African, Asian and Middle East. Latin America is an ‘unsure pattern’ at this time. Many are non-denominational, but the Assemblies of God churches are doing the best.
